Project Overview
The newly architecturally designed collaboration between Mazzei, Webster Architecture, and Nathan Burkett Landscape Architecture showcases how dark tones and contemporary design can combine to create a distinctive yet elegant suburban dwelling. Webster Architecture has emphasised external textural elements with a striking charred timber cladding façade. This is further reflected throughout the home with timber veneer joinery and walls creating a bold statement, in contrast with the light-toned engineered oak flooring. The open living plan design creates an inviting environment with a gable roof form that further elevates the space of this Camberwell residence. Carefully curated interior choices of deep green tones, a rich sunken camel coloured lounge, and a luxe burgundy inbuilt bar introduce a curiosity to explore the personality of each zone. The kitchen is dominated by a striking large island with rich veining Jurassic marble that runs through the stone surface, thus enhancing the dramatic and luxurious feel. Swiss-made V-ZUG luxury appliances add to the sleek design, with a skylight detail to illuminate the culinary space. The seamless connection between living and outdoor spaces adjoins an expansive alfresco, optimal for entertaining throughout each season. As you step outdoors, the raised infinity pool acts as a focal point in the garden. Nathan Burkett’s consideration of the bold gable rooflines balances a minimalist yet elegant landscape, harmoniously complementing the structural aesthetic of the home. This residence stands testament to how well dark and moody tones can work with natural elements to create a luxurious yet ultimately inviting dwelling
